The first CD was mainly inspired by the purchasing of this CD Xfm: it's a Cool Cool Christmas. As far as I can tell it's no longer for sale but if enough people wanted it I might be able to speak to Jeepster records to see if they can make it available for download.
It was a charity release raising money for the big issue. It's a very worthy cause and the songs are by some of the best indie bands the world had to offer at the time so please give genorously.

Not an obvious Christmas song but the original Frankie goes to Hollywood version has long been associated with it here in the UK after being a Christmas hit in 1984. This version is another song contained on an NME/Warchild compilation. Read the wiki here and give to Warchild.

Finally from the soundtrack to About a Boy is this song. It wonders that balance beam that a lot of indie pop does between cheesy and a beautiful. This one gets the balance just right.
